Using cyberpsychology to inform debates about social media

One of my programmes of research is to explore the fascinating topic of social media behaviour. Within this, we are asking questions such as:
What are the behaviours that underpin "social media use"?
How can we measure different types of behaviours and behavioural styles on social media?
How do individual-level factors (e.g., interpersonal traits) as well as behavioural styles, relate to aspects of user psychosocial well-being?
And lots more!

These questions are important. So much public and policy debate exists around social media and its impacts on individuals and society. Social media researchers have a key role in making sure that the evidence used to inform these debates is robust and that we can have a suitable evidence-base to inform sensible policy and practice.
I am ever grateful to the wonderful collaborators I work with on this, as well as the many students in the form of interns and dissertation students who contribute to this work stream.
